Since their September 2002 formation Dutch five piece metalband Forcefeed never stopped moving forward. Just a few months after being formed, Forcefeed self-released the EP “Choke On A Mouthful” in Januari 2003, and signed their first record deal in June of that same year. In April 2004 their debut album “When Grey Becomes” was released, of which the band’s first video “The Things They Say” charted 2nd on the rockchart of musicstation The Box, and got regular airplay on Dutch MTV. Forcefeed’s second album “Stainless” was released in October 2005. 2006 saw the band close a European promotion and distribution deal and take off to the US to tour.
The new album from Forcefeed, was produced by Jochem Jacobs from Textures, and is due for release in the UK in October on Glasstone Records.

Here’s what vocalist Trevor Strnad has to say about the band’s latest video: “Just in time for the big Summer Slaughter tour, it is our pleasure to present our seventh music video, “Everything Went Black”! After the last two videos were comprised of live/goofing around footage, we wanted to do something different this time around. The Creepshow theme was an idea of Brian’s, and I think it was the perfect way to represent what we’re all about… classic horror elements, and ridiculous amounts of fun. The video was directed by Dave Brodsky, who was selected for his prior involvement with The Red Chord, and we are very stoked with the outcome. He did a really great job with recreating the campy comic book vibe of the old Creepshow series. For any of you new jacks that aren’t familiar with Creepshow, you better get your asses in gear and check it out! I must commend Dave for tolerating my most horrible acting skills (“Dude, you smiled in EVERY part!”) and John K for being the best actor this horror business has ever seen. We feel YORD is a perfect fit in CELLADOR because he quickly showed to have all the elements we needed in a band member. Not only does he have an energetic playing style, but also a strong work ethic, selfless attitude, and above all an honest nature. The guy takes guitar like its a full time job, 8 hours a day SHRED SHRED SHRED all day, jam by night. On top of that we found him to be local to us as well, which bottom line is always an advantage for someone auditioning. Despite only having about 12 days to learn our whole set, Yord learned all our songs and filled in for our last show back in May, which we set up as basically a test show for whomever we were most considering.

Having released 3 albums on Metal Blade and Relapse Records the boys felt it was time for fresh blood and a fresh approach. It was decided, partly as a mark of respect to previous members and for the original idea and motives behind ‘Gorerotted’ that the name should change. The band has been known for many years by friends and fans as “The ‘Rotted” so it was right to choose that as the name.

Lyrically things have changed since the start too, another one of the contributing factors to the name change. “I was 18 when I joined this band in 1999. Back then I was into sick and offensive shit for the hell of it, I was a youngster looking to become more involved with the scene, but things have definitely changed now.” Says frontman Ben. “The horrors we’ve experienced from certain parts of our day-to-day existence are either far more fucked up, or far funnier than any of the made up stuff I was singing about on the early releases.” This explains why every lyric on ‘Get Dead Or Die Trying’ is based on events that have happened to the boys over the last few years. “I’ve totally lost the desire to sing about acts of murder that I’ve never committed or horror films I’ve had no part in making or serial killers I’ve never met. Some bands sing about the extreme, but we live it every day!” And it’s this honesty that allows the Rotted to connect with their fans all the easier. There’s no line between the stage and the crowd, everyone is at that show for the same reason: To have a good night. They take their music to the people with the goal that everyone –like them- leaves that show with a smile on their face after a bloody good night out!

Formed in Göteborg, Sweden, in 1993 by guitarist Oscar Dronjak. Early line-ups included members from In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, most notably Jesper Strömblad, who continued to write songs together with Oscar and singer Joacim Cans despite leaving before the first album was released. “Glory To The Brave” (1997) and “Legacy Of Kings” (1998) cemented the band as the pioneers of modern Eighties heavy metal.

Often credited with bringing back the melodies and honesty in music, the world-wide crusade continued with “Renegade” (2000), an album that generated a breakthrough for HammerFall and metal music in general in the mainstream media in Sweden.

The line-up was now complete with drummer Anders Johansson, formerly of Rising Force fame, Stefan Elmgren on guitar and Magnus Rosén on bass guitar. The latter two joined HF before the release of the inaugural record, with Stefan even being a session player on “Glory To The Brave”.

“Crimson Thunder” (2002) was next, followed by a live album and DVD - “One Crimson Night” (2003) - recorded in their home town in front of a capacity crowd. Bass player Magnus Rosén left the band in March. Without skipping a beat, original basist Fredrik Larsson was brought back into the fold, elevating the musical side with his steady brilliance. Massachusetts metallers UNEARTH have begun work the follow-up to 2006’s “III: In the Eyes of Fire”, tentatively due in October via Metal Blade Records. The bulk of the CD’s instrumental tracks are being recorded at Massachusetts’ System Recording Studios with producer Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage guitarist), while the album’s drum tracks are being laid to tape by drummer Derek Kerswill (Kingdom Of Sorrow, Seemless) at Zing Studios. The as-yet-untitled record is said to feature the band’s “most dynamic material to date,” combining strong tension and release, abundant guitar solos and a bulldozing power-groove.

After the last two videos were comprised of live/goofing around footage, we wanted to do something different this time around. The Creepshow theme was an idea of Brian’s, and I think it was the perfect way to represent what we’re all about… classic horror elements, and ridiculous amounts of fun. The video was directed by Dave Brodsky, who was selected for his prior involvement with The Red Chord, and we are very stoked with the outcome. He did a really great job with recreating the campy comic book vibe of the old Creepshow series. For any of you new jacks that aren’t familiar with Creepshow, you better get your asses in gear and check it out! I must commend Dave for tolerating my most horrible acting skills (“Dude, you smiled in EVERY part!”) and John K for being the best actor this horror business has ever seen.
